Give
Your Child
All of the Life Skills to be Successful
for the Rest of Their Life… |
Dear
Parent,
You
are probably thinking, "What does karate have to do with teaching
Life Skills?" Well, I would like to let you know that it has EVERYTHING
to do with teaching Life Skills.
My
name is Denny Strecker. I am the owner (or so I'm told) of the fastest
growing karate school in Michigan, "Denny Strecker's Karate"
-- which is located in Warren.
For
over 14 years, I have been working with families and showing parents
ways to help improve their child's self-confidence, self-discipline,
respect, and courtesy that are only found in karate. No sport can say
that!
Watch
as your child increases in confidence, respect and discipline. See how
we can help him become unstoppable in his quest for...
Greater
academic achievement
Unshakable self respect
Increased mental and physical strength and fitness
And
all of it comes from taking our Karate for Children
Program. Still, you're wondering if this will work for your child. I
understand.
This
is how I look at it. Your child's first and biggest challenge doesn't
come from "fighting for his rights on the playground," or
"protecting himsel fthe neighborhood bully." Instead, he battles
a much tougher enemy. Their own fears and self doubts:
"I am so stupid."
"I
never understand what my teacher wants."
"I
wish I was as [strong, pretty, tall] as Carol."
"Why
do those kids on the bus keep picking on me?"
"Why
can't I be as popular as Olivia?"
Parents
ask me all of the time, "How do I help my child fight these enemies?"
They have a tough time even telling you about them let alone how she
might conquer them.
 |
Well,
the good news is, I have a proven solution. A program that has
already worked for over 1,000 Metro Detroit children. A series
of lessons your child can learn easier than you think.
I call it "Confident Kids."
Let me tell you why is so successful. |
Karate
for Children has very little to do with your child learning to fight
others, but more about taking on himself. His innermost fears.
Conquer them, and your child unleashes within himself a powerful, unstoppable
force.
A force that gives him the strength to face his own self doubts. A force
that opens your child to the exalting power of values.
In
other words, when your child uses the discipline they learn from my
Karate for Children Program to conquer his fears,
he has the power to transfer that discipline to all other areas of his
life. I know of no other sport that does this better than karate.
(I should know. Remember, I've been teaching it for over 14 years.)
Here
is what some of our parents have to say. . .
“I
am so very impressed with the Denny Strecker's Karate. It is
definitely for the entire family and we feel at home here. I
would say that is the best compliment of all, everyone wants
to have a comfort level of their own home. Mrs. Andrea is a
Fantastic teacher that is very in tune with the children. My
son loves her, looks up to her and respects her. And everyone
is willing to help in anyway they can, with Karate, Home and
School. Denny Strecker's Karate has covered everything most
important in a childs life and development. Thank you for everything!”
- Tammy Rezny (Parent of Brandon Rezny)
|
| “We
started our program about six months ago, and being in the education
field, I have learned so much from this program even just by watching
it. Joshua has grown tremendously. His focus has improved and
he looks forward to coming to class…even if he has a bad
day at school he wants to come to karate. I would highly recommend
this class.”
– Melanie Rainwater (Educator. Parent of Joshua
Rainwater) |
| “Sensei
is an excellent resource person. He has a great ability and willingness
to help both students and parents. He works well with the students
and has the ability to motivate them. He provides a positive environment
for the students to learn and feel good about themselves and their
accomplishments.” - Debbie Calvert (Parent of Justin
Calvert) |
| “I
soon decided that one of my children was certain to benefit from
involvement at Denny Strecker's Karate. I appreciated the way
in which participation involved the teaching of life skills combined
with the personal challenge posed to every student, to be rewarded
based on individual effort and perseverance.” -
Jackie Raxter (Mental Health Therapist. Parent of Olivia and Spencer
Raxter) |
Now,
you may be asking, how does all this "values" stuff work?
And why does karate for children manage to do
a better job teaching it?
Again,
more than any other sport, karate gives your child the chance to
explore her innate powers.
She'll marvel (as you will) as she increases in strength, flexibility,
endurance, balance, and harmony. Yet, this is only the start.
|
 |
In fact, her
physical skills act as a foundation for something much more important:
the development of her value skills, mental and spiritual.
And not cut off from her physical skills, but intimately connected --
even bonded -- to them.
Like
this:
COURAGE.
Watch your child start to move outside of his comfort zone. He begins
to challenge himself by practicing more difficult karate techniques.
He is no longer afraid of being afraid. He learns that he can accomplish
whatever he sets his mind on. He learns to never accept defeat. He sees
that his life is now a never-ending journey of life-giving improvement.
In
short, he refuses to become a victim of fate. He chooses his own destiny.
STAYING
POWER. Your
child finds joy in improving her physical fitness. She can walk and
run longer, and practice any skill she is interested in learning until
she thinks they are right.
She
learns not to give up - to see things through. With the help of her
teachers, she strives harder and longer to reach her goals. Even if
she isn't successful, she learns from the experience and continues to
move forwards. She won't let insecurity get in the way of reaching her
final destination.
HONESTY.
A famous quote is, "Where performance is measured, performance
improves." But before that can happen, your child has to first
learn to find the starting point. That means measuring current abilities.
Above all, he learns that to succeed, he can't take shortcuts and must
regularly evaluate his progress.
 |
This
results in a sharper focus. He learns to make eye contact with
his teacher (and not just in karate). He pays greater attention
to what each teacher says. He knows and accepts where he stands.
These are just three
of the powerful, energizing values your child will get from the
"Confident Kids" program. You can look forward to your
child developing. . . |
-
Powerful
self control. She will become
a leader to her peers and not become a follower to negative peer pressure.
She will respect authority and follow rules better.
-
Improved focus. She will learn how to stay on track
with a goal she has set and not let those normal, yet time-wasting,
distractions get in her way.
-
Neverending
self confidence. Your child finds the courage to face any
challenge or obstacle and meet it head on.
Real World role-models. Children are always looking for role
models and in today's world, I am afraid to say they are in short supply.
While cartoons and super heros are cool, we offer real, living and breathing
positive role models for your child to look up to and to interact with.
| “One
of the benefits of Denny Strecker's Karate...is the fact that
it influenced Daniel’s behavior. He started to realize that
he feels good when he does a good deed to somebody and his self-esteem
is better than ever. Daniel learned to be generous with his sister
and other kids and wants to help us in every way he can. I would
definitively recommend this program to any parent.”
- Gabriela Ban (Parent of Daniel Ban) |
Now,
I know what you are saying to yourself: "Sounds great! But how
do I know that the `Confident Kids' program will work for my child?
Will learning karate really work for her?" Here is an easy way
for you to see for yourself. . .
FREE
INTRODUCTORY COURSE. (A $29.00 value.) I will give you
two 20-minute lessons -- for FREE. (With no strings attached.) See firsthand,
if I can give your child the powerful benefits I have mentioned above.
Here's
how it works: Watch with your own eyes as your child learns from
one of our top karate teachers . . .
Class
One. Your child begins by learning the meaning behind the karate
"bow." Then watch him as he:
-
Learns about emotional respect, both for himself and others.
-
Gains power from the "Six Points of Body Balance."
-
Deomonstrates
the "Three Skills of Listening."
Then
you will catch yourself smiling as you hear him recite the first principle
of the Student Creed: "I intend to develop myself in a positive
manner, and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or my
physical health."
Class
Two. More respect. Then watch as your child:
Finally,
applaud your child as they learn another portion of our Student Creed:
"I intend to develop self-discipline in order to bring out the
best in myself and others."
Believe
me, with just with these two short lessons, your child will come away
with her self confidence greatly improved, and not just some imagined
improvement. You will clearly notice the difference. She will have learned
some real "life skills." Skills that she will be able to use
for the rest of her life.
All
while enjoying the fun and excitement of my upbeat karate program. And
it's all FREE! You have absolutely no risk.

up knowing how to protect herself. She'll know how to avoid danger,
how to use conflict resolution techniques -- but without once
throwing a kick, block, or punch!

Tips for Developing Self-Confidence."
Here is what
Dr. Peters has to say...

"I
believe that martial art training is one of the best activities a child
can participate in to build confidence, self-esteem, and discipline."
Please
read our Student Creed:
|
I intend to develop myself in a positive manner, and to avoid
anything that would reduce my mental growth or my physical health.
I intend to develop self-discipline, in order to bring out
the best in myself and others.
I intend to use what I learn in class constructively and defensively,
to help myself and my fellow man, and
never to be abusive or offensive.
I'm on a quest to be my best! |
